Mana Grove meters a handful of features. This article explains the two kinds of limits, where to see yours, and exactly what happens at the cap.
Two kinds of limits
Monthly allowances reset every month:
- Grover AI messages: messages to Grover, the AI deck assistant.
- Scry AI searches: plain-language card searches run by Scry, our AI-powered card search.
- Tutor AI recommendations: suggestion runs by Tutor, our smart deck recommendations.
- Combo detections: combo scans across a deck.
Account totals never reset; they are ongoing capacity:
- Saved decks: how many decks your account can hold.
- Collection size: how many cards your collection can hold. This counts every copy of every card.
The exact numbers depend on your plan and always render live on the Pricing page.
Check your usage
- Click your avatar in the top-right corner.
- Choose Usage.
The Usage page shows every meter, your current usage period (for example "Usage period: Jul 3 to Aug 3"), and when each allowance resets. It is the quickest way to answer "how many Grover messages do I have left this month?"
What happens when you hit a cap
When you use up a monthly allowance, that feature pauses until your next reset, and an in-app prompt appears with the reset date and an upgrade option. Two important exceptions to the word "pauses":
- Search never stops working. When your Scry searches are used up, search switches to keyword matching until the allowance resets.
- Your decks and collection are never affected by monthly allowances. Nothing you have built or cataloged is touched.
Account totals work differently: at the saved-deck or collection-size limit you cannot add new decks or cards past the limit, but everything already there stays intact and editable. Free up space, or upgrade for more room.
How resets work
Allowances reset once a month on your personal anniversary, not on the first of the calendar month. On a paid plan, that is the day you subscribed; on the Free plan, the day you created your account. Reset times shown in the app are in your local time zone. Unused amounts do not roll over: each reset returns the allowance to full.
The Pricing page FAQ covers these rules in more depth, including what happens on downgrade.
