Scry is our AI-powered card search, and it understands plain language. You do not need exact card names or special syntax: describe what you want the card to do.
Where to search
- Click the search icon in the navigation bar, or press Ctrl+K (Cmd+K on Mac), to search from anywhere. Results cover cards, decks, articles, and players.
- The Cards browse page is the full catalog experience, with a Scry AI Search toggle and an advanced filter sidebar.
- Card search inside the deck editor works the same way.
Write searches the way you talk
Scry matches meaning, not just words. All of these work:
- "two-mana counterspell that also draws a card"
- "green creatures that ramp me into big spells"
- "board wipe that spares my own creatures"
- "artifacts that make my dragons cheaper"
Results are ranked by how well each card's actual behavior matches your description, so the more specific the description, the better the list.
Scry or filters? Both
- Reach for Scry when you can describe the job the card should do: effects, comparisons, "something like X but cheaper".
- Reach for filters when the constraint is exact: a specific set, color identity, card type, or mana value. The filter sidebar on the Cards page narrows results precisely.
- They combine well: describe the effect first, then tighten with filters.
The "Not relevant" button
Scry card results carry a small thumbs-down control. When a result does not fit what you asked for:
- Click Not relevant on that card.
- The card disappears from your current results and a "Marked as not relevant. Thanks!" confirmation appears.
- Your feedback flows into how future searches are ranked, so results keep improving for everyone.
Searches and your allowance
Scry searches count against a monthly allowance that varies by plan: current numbers are on the Pricing page, and your remaining searches are under Usage (avatar menu → Usage), listed as Scry AI searches. Search never stops working: if you use up the allowance, search switches to keyword matching until your monthly reset. Understanding Usage & Quotas has the full rules.
